DJ Major Playa Biography

Rising like the sun over the sandy beaches of Florida, comes a Haitian-American with a mystifying taste for smooth breaking beats delivered directly to your eardrums. DJ Major Playa scratched his first LP’s while performing for Americas finest during a pre USO Tour event. DJ Major Playa realized the need for advancements in his career and decided to take his talents to Europe. After his arrival via the Patriot Express, DJ Major Playa interrupted the international freq-waves on his live radio show Streetlight Radio. The show also featured a segment of “What It Be World” that showcased what’s going on in hip hop news around the world and a special twitter that got timelines popping which handled roll-call for the fan based follower on twitter while working at 105.3 Zack FM. During this time, he ventured into a plethora of venues from the Liberty Club, Mojos, and Brazilia. During his tenure in Europe, DJ Major Playa developed an appetite for European compositions and while pressing the press and frequenting waves, DJ Major Playa introduced Europe to these much-needed sounds derived from Dirty South, Hip Hop, R&B, Trap Step and Reggae. This frequenting turbulence produced shocking-waves across the pond and a new star was born. His charismatic personality, unconstraint and up-beat attitude carries into his un-blurred sound portfolio. After a few years in Europe, DJ Major Playa returned to the United States, Northwest to be exact. While in Idaho DJ Major Playa was considered for a slot at 103.5 Kiss FM, along with Dj’ing at Main Street Night Club aka Rodeo Night Club, China Blue Night Club, Main Street Bistro, and Fatty’s Bar with his close friend DJ ZuZ. Since then, DJ Major Playas sound has included genres such as trap, trap step, and EDM. This exploration drove him to make an extra step to his development and DJ Major Playa relocated to Japan where his frequency was integrated into Club Bar Hills, Peek-A-Boo’s and Misawa AB E-Club. DJ Major Playa had recent collaborated with DJ Shortee Blitz, DJ Tim Westwood, Flavor Flav, Trinidad James, Baby Bash, Jay Burna, Tommy Davidson, and Hannibal Thompson. DJ Major Playa has added new foot prints with rhythm and rhymes to spin the world one track at a time.
